Just glanced at my spreadsheet for October...I spent $157.51 for the month on household and grocery items, and saved almost $2000 with coupons and store sales! I am doing some Walgreens and CVS shopping in the next couple of weeks, so my November totals might be higher, but the ultimate goal is to stock the house with toiletries, paper goods, groceries, and diapers so that once March, and the new baby, arrives, I won't have to get out for awhile!
On a side note, did you see the November issue of All You magazine? I'm in it, page 83, as a finalist for the 2010 Grocery Challenge. They used a couple of my quotes from the website's blog during the challenge, including my savings for 2009 of over $10,000. Well, I just looked at this year's totals...I am over $18,000 in savings this year so far, with 2 months to go! I wonder if I can get to $20,000 in savings?
Besides the magazine blurb, the CBS Early Show quoted me as well...watch the video til the end, that's where they talk about me.
